A Letter to the Patients of Dr. Dana Keaton

Dear Patients,

I am writing to tell you good news, and better news. The good news is that I am planning to retire in the next few weeks. The better news is that after an extended search, I have found an excellent doctor to continue your care, Dr. Kenneth J. Lashutka, NMD.

After 30 years of service, I am feeling the need to rest, relax and rejuvenate, and spend more time with family and friends. At the same time, I want you to continue receiving the caring, personalized treatment you have come to expect at our clinic. With that in mind, I looked for an experienced, knowledgeable, compassionate, and empathetic naturopathic physician to continue your care. When I found Dr. Lashutka, I knew I had the right doctor for you.

Dr. Lashutka was trained at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, a school I helped found. He has been in continuous practice for eleven years, and he has expertise in a number of naturopathic therapies and modalities, including nutritional therapy, herbal medicine, male and female regenerative/hormonal replacement therapy, family medicine including care for children, IV and injection therapy, acupuncture, cancer care, and many other approaches to acute and chronic medical conditions. I trust his clinical skills and judgment, and know you will be comfortable with his approach to care. You are in very competent hands and have a very discerning mind with Dr. Lashutka.

Dr. Lashutka and I are very excited for you to meet him. In the next few weeks, he and I will be working side-by-side, and collaborating our skills and experience for your benefit. If you do not already have an appointment scheduled, we welcome you to come in to meet him and discuss any health concerns you may have. Dr. Lashutka is looking forward to consulting with all new and returning patients. He will be maintaining your charts so that treatments can be maintained, while bringing fresh thoughts to your case. We are enclosing his bio in this letter.

The clinic phone number and location will remain the same, with Cayleen and Melissa continuing in their present roles. Any appointments you have made are still reserved for you. We will continue quality customer service and medical care, and provide you with a fully stocked, on-site medicinary. I will be personally involved in the transfer of your care to Dr. Lashutka. We will consult together through the end of August, and encourage you to take the opportunity to see us both in the next few weeks.

You have put your trust in me, committing to improving your health under my guidance. Over the years I have been privileged to share from the heart in so many patients’ lives. I have seen children in my practice grow to be wonderful adults. I have been blessed to walk your healing paths with you and witnessed the power of your will to be your best. We have worked together as a team, and I desire this same teamwork of healing to continue between you and Dr. Lashutka.

It has been an honor and a blessing for me to be your doctor.  Namaste (I see the greatness in you), Dr. Dana.

In Health,
Dana Keaton NMD, LAc
